K1 started 2nd grade on August 25th. K2 started Kindergarten on August 28th. The school district here starts kindergarteners on a staggered day, so they can assess them. Then, all the kindergarteners officially started on September 2nd. K2 came home from school with the stomach virus on Friday, September 5th first thing in the morning and stayed home from school on Monday, too. She started her school career off with a bang!

She misses them when they are gone and can't wait for them to be home, but I think she is definitely enjoying the one-on-one time with Mommy. We are having lots of fun with each other!
God has definitely prepared the way for us, because the girls have done wonderful with going to a new school and not knowing anyone there. I cannot brag enough about how great they've done. No tears, nothing...in fact, they have asked to ride the school bus home in the afternoons (it is the thing to do here) and they rode the bus home for the first time yesterday. All I can say is AMAZING...my little babies are definitely growing up!
