All about K2...

I've got quite a few pics of K2 that I've taken lately, so I thought I'd put them all in one post.

When my parents were here in April, my dad planted a tomato plant and an okra plant for me and K2 is the only one who likes cherry tomatoes, so I took some pictures for my dad of her picking and tasting them.

This next picture is also for my dad...I know he would be proud. I've never seen anyone clean a chicken drumstick like my dad, until now. Amazing!!! She ate every bite...ugh!

K2 just started her first T-Ball season. She has had several practices and has her first game in mid-September. Bryan is helping coach the team, so they're enjoying some father/daughter time!

She has also recently lost her first tooth and is very proud!

K2 is very excited about the new baby and can't wait for her arrival!

She started her first day at her new school yesterday and seems to really like it so far. I think she looks adorable in her uniform...so grown up!

Here she is sitting at her desk getting ready for her big day!

These pictures were from this morning...her 2nd day of school. Again, so mature looking!

She is such a blessing and adds so much fun to our family! We are so proud of her and her willingness to try new things!

Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet little K3!

We have had a busy, busy day today treating our royal cuteness to a special birthday! We started the day out with chocolate chip pancakes and ended with chocolate cupcakes and ice cream. We'll see if they get any sleep tonight. The three girls are all slumbering together tonight to wrap up the day. In between breakfast and birthday cupcakes, we opened presents, had lunch at Chuck E. Cheese, shopped at Concord Mills, Built-A-Bear, and rode the carousel. I'd say she was pretty spoiled and loved every minute of it! Her daddy even took the whole day off to spend it with us! As I tucked her in bed tonight, she hugged and kissed me and said, "Thank you, guys!". I'd say it was a great day and me and Bryan are beyond exhausted!

Birth...

1st year...

2nd year...

3rd year...

4th year...

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl! We love you so much and thank God for the joy and sweetness you've added to our family! Your smile can light up an entire room and your giggle just melts our hearts. You've pretty much got your sisters wrapped around your little finger! It's hard to believe you are already 4 years old! No matter how old you get, you'll always be our little royal cuteness!

I hope to post some pics from our fun day within the next couple of days. For now, I'll leave you with one of my new favorite pictures of the girls in their swimsuits!

Gone Fishin'...

The weekend after my parents left in April, we took the girls to a nearby state park, rented a row boat and went fishing. Unfortunately, we didn't catch anything, but we sure had fun trying. We also did some hiking while we were there. We ended the day with a big drink from Sonic on the way home. There's something so cute to me about a little kid drinking out of a big cup from a straw (you'll see what I'm talking about in the last two pictures of K3).

Start Your Engines...

When my parents were here, we went to ride go-carts. The girls had a blast! There was a little ride for the little ones and all 3 of them liked it. It would sling you around on the two ends. K3 was laughing hysterically. It was so cute! They rode that a few times...

The two older girls were able to drive an actual go-cart for smaller kids. They thought they were big stuff! And, they're off...the competition begins and probably won't end for many years to come...

Note the serious expressions on their faces...they were in it to win it!

K1 rode in one of the bigger carts with Bryan and had a blast!

K2 rode with my dad and also had a blast, but held onto the side of the car very tightly the whole time! Unfortunately K3 was too small to ride, so she sat out with me and my mom. She never complained, though, and enjoyed watching them.

If I'd been taping this ride, we would have won $10,000 on America's Funniest Videos. K3 was all smiles going up. And then the first drop happened and her smile quickly quivered and became a frown. She couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. She'd smile on the way up and frown on the way down. It was hilarious!!! But, in the end, she loved it and rode it multiple times with her hands raised. K2 remained white-knuckled with her hands tightly gripping the bar. Notice which child is missing from the picture...she is my least adventurous at this point and the most inclined to get motion sickness...

This one is kind of blurry, but it shows how K3 had her hands raised and K2 was gripping the bar...

It was a great day and we look forward to going back! Next time we'll have to squeeze in some putt-putt golf as well.

Where do I start???

OK, so I've been a little behind on blogging lately. I guess it has been a little over 6 weeks. I wish I could say that I have been nesting away and I've got everything in order and ready for our new arrival. That just isn't the case. The fact is, we've been slow on uploading pictures to the computer and I hate posting without pictures. Now, because I am so far behind, I plan on bombarding you with pictures. I'll try to spread them out over the next several days, so there is some kind of order to them. We've had many fun days over the last month and a half. In April, we had a WONDERFUL visit with my parents. They were able to come stay with us for 10 days and it just wasn't long enough! They were here for Easter, so we were really excited to spend such a special holiday with them!

Check back soon for more exciting pictures of our fun-filled day riding go-carts and our fishing trip. I know the anticipation may keep you awake tonight, but don't worry, I'll get them all posted over the next few days versus 6 weeks! :)

What can I say...I married the "X-Man"!

Well, the minority vote won! We are having another precious baby girl! Life is going to get real interesting around here in about 8 or 9 years. There will be a lot of hormones and very little bathroom space! Fortunately, we are already set for a baby girl around here. Their bathroom is extremely "girly" and every bedroom is painted "girly", so we won't have to make any changes. Bryan and I have actually had mixed feelings lately about what we wanted. Of course we'd like to experience the son relationship and all that goes with a little boy, but there is just something special about a baby girl. Just when I thought I was sold on wanting a boy, I went in K3's room the other night to tuck her in and she just melted me, as she always does. Those of you who know K3 know exactly what I'm talking about. She's going to be a tough act to follow. In fact, the saddest thing for me about not having a little boy, is that K3 fits the baby girl role so well that I'm a little sad about her having to pass that role down. We are excited and the girls all wanted another girl, so everyone's happy. Here she is and she is doing wonderful!

It's a Girl!!!

I just had to post this picture again, because it speaks volumes in our house!

I enjoyed the last poll so much that I've posted another poll on the right-hand side. Feel free to make your guess...
